On your Vista Desktop, right-click on your wallpaper and goto Personalisation. A Window will open, then at the bottom, you will see Display Settings. Once you click that another window will open. OK here goes first right click an empty space on your desk top a pop up menu will appear click properties on the bottom of the menu . A Display Settings panel will appear , click on the settings tab . On this screen you will see a slider and numbers at the bottom of the slider telling you your current resolution . move the4 slider right to make the resolution higher or left to make the resolution smaller. you will get a preview of how it will look. if you like what you see click the apply button at the bottom of the panel and it's done .

Note: the higher the resolution, the smaller and sharper the image
