How can i change my screen resolution?

My monitor supports all type of resolutions. But when i check out my display propertis i find only 800\600 and 1024\768 pixels.I dont find any other screen resolutions in between these two points.1024/768 seems very smaal for my family in my computer. So what can i do to increase the appearance of my computer. Can i find any other screen resolutions in between the two?How can i change my screen resolution?
You could choose 800 by 600 then to make it look bigger. Your video card is the device that gives you more screen resolution choices, a 32 mb video gives only the maximum until about 1024 by 900+ screen resolution.

You can check the features of your video card thru clicking start -%26gt; run -%26gt; type dxdiag and hit ENTER. Go to your display tab and see how many mb is your video card. You don't need to touch the direct 3d, direct draw below. ;)How can i change my screen resolution?
ya

other. about changing monitor resl

right click on desktop ( wallpaper in windows)

then klik properties

klik setting..

its there
try right click on your desktop, this should give you a pop up menu, have a look.
The two ways I know is 1.Go to your control panel then click Dislplay, and then one of the tabs has the screen resolution properties. or 2. You can change the resolution with some options on your monitor itself.
Your monitor supports all kinds of resolutions but your video card does not. Access the card manufacturer's site and see if there is an upgrade to the card's driver. Upgrade your video card.
I am a computer specialist. I deal with screen resolution problems often. To my knowledge there is no choice in between those two points. I've looked on several computers and saw no other choice that was in between. If 1024/768 is too small for your family, then, stay on 800/600. No sense on straining everyone's eyes.
The two things that can limit youre ability to choose a higher resolution are the monitor and the video card. A few steps you can take. One, Install a new driver for the video card. Two, If none exist replace the video card with a newer version. Even a 30$ cheap video card can accomplish this. Three, Some monitors dont have the ability to exceed certain resolutions. Replacing the monitor with a newer one will work.
This answer applies to any version of Microsoft Windows. Go to your Desktop (that is the starting screen). Find a blank area, place your cursor in it and right click. A menu will pop up. Select ';Properties'; in the menu. Click on Properties (left click). A new screen will appear with various tabs on top. Select and click on tab that is called ';Settings';. you will now get a screen where you can set colors (set at highest) and you will see a slider. Hold down left mouse button and drag the slider to the resolution you wish to use. Click ';Apply'; and then ';OK';. You very likely will lhave to restart your PC so as to enable the new resolution setting.
try to go to microsoft web site and get some updates.

You will need to add a graphics card to your configuration.

Presently , your monitor must be connected to the onboard ( on the motheboard) graphics controller ) which supports on these 2 resolutions.
hi buddy to tell u the screen resoutions can only be set at speficied resolutions and there is no other resolution setting between 800*600 and 1024*768.

these setting are applied worldwide as standards and there also u can see that any resolution table is having no option. all options are after that or before that. its better not to strain eyes and work at 800*600 resolution if u use the pc with others. or u may set to 1024-768 when u are using it
