How to change screen resolution from 300 to normal?

It's a windows vista laptop uhhh toshiba annnnd yea I need help like asap. Thnx :PHow to change screen resolution from 300 to normal?
I honestly can't 100% understand your question, so I'm going to answer it based on what I *Think* your question is.

There are two possible things you could be asking, and I will answer them both to help you out. :)

1) The text DPI setting could be too high (Meaning that the size of the screen is ok, but the text could be huge!

2)The screen's resolution could be set too low, and you just need to make it a little higher.

Let's try number one first, because I think that's what's wrong.

---To fix your screen's resolution (With Vista)

1. Minimize all windows so that you can see your background.

2. Right click any open desktop space and press, personalize.

3. Select ';Display Settings';

4. Under ';Resolution:'; drag the tick all the way to the right, and press ';OK'; If that solves your problem, press ';OK'; again on the window that asks you to verify that you are ok with the settings you changed. (Note: Your only going to have 15 seconds, so decide if you like it or just press ok, If you don't like it, just repeat everything and slide the tick back one notch everytime until you find a resolution that you like)

If that didn't fix your problem, lets assume its the DPI settings.

---To fix DPI settings (In Vista)

1. Minimize all windows so that you can see your background.

2. Right click any open desktop space and press, personalize.

3. Under the ';Tasks'; pane on the left side of the window, press ';Adjust Font Size (DPI)';

4. Click on ';Default Scale'; and press OK.

5. Click ';OK'; on any confirmation messages you get.

I hope this helps :) If it doesn't, I'll have to guess that your computer doesn't have the latest version of it's display driver, and if not, you will have to visit toshiba's support site and download the latest driver yourself. (Shouldn't need to do this, as windows update usually downloads drivers automatically)
