How can I change the screen view on XP?

The display settings on my screen have been changed %26amp; I have a black gap of about 2.5cm on either side of my desktop picture with about 1/2cm at top and bottom %26amp; I dont know how to change them back....I've tried everything in the display options but nothing works.

Can anyone help? How can I change the screen view on XP?
Try re-installing your graphics drivers this should fix the problem. How can I change the screen view on XP?
modify your monitor settings manually by tweaking the buttons on it.
on most monitors you'll find the ability to resize the picture probably not a software issue but the physical buttons on your monitor
The answer may not be XP. The buttons on the front of your monitor will adjust the screen size. One will select--One will adjust.
you don't say what kind of monitor you have but.....there should be a button on your monitor to show the different settings it has. When you find it you can cursor thru until you find vertical size and horizontal size, select one then you can adjust it then go to the other and do likewise. When you select it gives you a plus or minus to adjust. Good luck
yes, it is your monitor controls you must use to resize your monitor screen. the newer models have buttons instead of little wheely things to make adjustments.
Somewhere on your laptop there should be bottons to adjust your horizontal and vertical picture on the monotor. Just play with those buttons utill you get a whole picture. Good Luck!
