How to change screen resolution on Mandriva One?

I am experimenting with Mandriva One 2008. I am wanting to change my screen resolution to 1024x1028 but I dont see any obvious way of doing this. Does anyone know ?How to change screen resolution on Mandriva One?
I know this works in ubuntu

I think this may work Mandriva as well:

Open a terminal and type:

sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Press ctrl+w and search ';Modes';

You should see a line similar to:

Modes ';1024x768'; ';800x600'; ';640x480';

The first resolution ';1024x768'; is default

So if you wanted to make 1024x1028 the default resolution, you change it to:

Modes ';1024x1028'; ';1024x768'; ';800x600'; ';640x480';

Then press ctrl+o to save

And rebootHow to change screen resolution on Mandriva One?
hmm...

Mandravia 2008 is still in beta last time I checked, did you mess around with the KDE menus? and if it is a bug, report it. Personally, if I even use a graphical interface at all, I use Ubuntu Ultimate or at least anything with Gnome, as Gnome is stabler than KDE.

check /usr/bin for any KDE config items not in the pseudo start menu.
1.control panel

2.adjust screen resolution

3.adjust the resolution with the slide control saying low to high
