How to change screen resolution in windows 7 ?

ive recently installed windows 7 on my laptop wich is an advent 5421. I have updated my graphics driver but when i go to change my screen resolution the highest setting is 1280x800 which is not wide enough and i dont know how to get 1280x1024 resolution.How to change screen resolution in windows 7 ?

Right click on the desktop and click 'screen resolution'



Also make sure you highlight the monitor you want to change by clicking on it before you change it.
Make sure you installed the Windows 7 Driver and not like XP or Vista. Also be sure that its set for 32 Bit and not 16.



This is definitely a driver issue.
